New Hygienic-DESIGN components from KIPP for regulated production environments

KIPP is therefore expanding its range of Hygienic-DESIGN components and offering new solutions for systems with a clean design that are easy to clean.

Hygiene-conscious design

Smooth surfaces, defined radii and geometries with minimal dead spaces are key elements of hygienic design. They prevent deposits, facilitate cleaning and help to reduce cleaning times, media consumption and the risk of contamination. At the same time, they enable a sustainable increase in process reliability and plant availability.

Materials for demanding environments

The components are primarily made of A4 stainless steel (1.4404) and utilise FDA-compliant materials. A range of materials, such as EPDM or FLUOROPRENE XP, are available for the seals – tailored to different media and operating conditions.

Two approaches – one goal

KIPP combines two concepts for maximum hygiene:

• Hygienic DESIGN – optimised geometry, surfaces and proprietary sealing solutions

• Hygienic USIT® – proven sealing technology from Freudenberg
